Bio:

is a collective of Sapara women from the Ecuadorian Amazon who create handmade art rooted in ancestral knowledge and deep respect for the natural world. They work with seeds carefully gathered from the jungle, feathers naturally shed by birds, palm fibers, and plant-based dyes to craft unique bags, earrings, necklaces, and other adornments. Each piece is a reflection of the forest’s abundance and a celebration of the relationship between people and nature.

Through their artistry, the women of Itiwmu Tsamarikaw are not only preserving traditional knowledge, but also offering a vision of healing, sharing the beauty and spirit of the forest, and her dream to recover joy and balance after the intrusion of oil extraction. Their work is a powerful reminder that true wealth lies in culture, creativity, and harmony with the Earth. 🌿🌸
