Coming from the Wampanoag and Pokanoket tribes, Darlene had been a nurse for 31 years when, in 2021, she was struck in the head at work and sustained a brain injury that forced her to stop working. She lost the ability to read and comprehend, leaving her devastated. She prayed for guidance and for something meaningful she could still do.

She recalls Creator asking if she trusted Him. When she said yes, Creator replied, “Then do it through you.”
