Sinchi Warmi (“strong women” in Kichwa) is a women-led community tourism initiative in the Amazon of Ecuador, based in San Pedro de Misahuallí on the Napo River. Founded in 2002, it is managed by local women who have empowered themselves economically and culturally through sustainable tourism.

Their mission is to generate well-being and transformation by preserving ancestral knowledge, protecting the forest, and celebrating their Kichwa worldview.

Through Sinchi Warmi, visitors can participate in community-led activities like plant medicine ceremonies, cultural tours, artisanal crafts, and traditional forest excursions all supported by a lodge run by women.
