Members of the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation, Jivonna and LaTasha Maddox Owners of- Pequot Beauties were taught beadwork from a young age and now create authentic Native beadwork inspired by the life’s seasons. Their work ranges from beadwork, rawhide purses to unique cat toys, blending traditional skills with contemporary expression. As artists, they explore identity and the balance between traditional and modern Indigenous life, celebrating the resilience and evolution of Native culture through every piece they create.
The Maddox Sisters are committed to preserving their cultural heritage while expanding the visibility of modern Native artistry—showing that Indigenous creativity is both timeless and ever-growing.
