Bio:

Ravinder Kumar is a renowned artist of traditional craft phulkari. He has been working with his family since childhood. This craft is inherited from his great grandmother. He has received National Award in 2010 and several appreciations certificates for his craft, his mother Smt. Lajwanti has received Padma Shree fourth highest Award of India. He runs training sessions for all generations to keep their art alive for a long time, children from all over India determine to enroll in these sessions. He has been invited several times in American Embassy School to demonstrate Phulkari art. He has showcased his craft in different countries like Chile, Ecuador, U.S.A, Germany, Brazil, Muscat, Peru, Canada, Indian Exhibitions like- Surajkund international craft Mela, IITF in Pragati Maidan, Craftroot held in different states, Silk Fab etc. as his work(Folk Embroidery of Punjab) outstands and loved by all. His love/emotions, hardwork can be seen on his craft.
