Bio:
Adina Farinango is a Kichwa-Otavalo multidisciplinary artist, illustrator, muralist, designer, and jeweler from Ecuador, based in Lenapehoking (New York City). Working across digital illustration, photography, embroidery, animation, murals, and jewelry, her practice explores Indigenous identity, ancestral memory, matriarchal knowledge, and Kichwa Futurisms.
Through her work, she creates living archives that center Indigenous presence, cultural continuity, and relationships between past, present, and future generations. Drawing from personal, ancestral, and collective memory, she examines what it means to carry home within the body and across diaspora.
Her work has been recognized through the BRIO (Bronx Recognizes Its Own) Award and the Cultural Survival Indigenous Youth Fellowship. She has collaborated with Instagram, Apple, Brown University, and the New York City Department of Transportation, and has participated in the Ndaki-ña Indigenous Jewelry Showcase. Her work celebrates Indigenous creativity and envisions Kichwa culture in movement through contemporary art, public art, design, and storytelling.
